When we initially went on the hunt for islands we ended up in Ireland looking at a place called Mannion Island. It did tick a lot of our boxes, despite not being tropical. Of course we ended up going for Coffee Caye in Belize, but Mannion Island is still very much up for sale.

Mannion Island Background
Located in Country Cork Mannion Island is located in Dunmanus Bay. 200 meters from the shire and 500 meters from the dock. It is also pretty much opposite where Graham Norton lives, with his local pub being one of the landmarks.
This is an extremely beautiful part of the world, with the island being on fertile land, as well as having s smaller silent that comes as part of the deal. There are though some complications with the island.
Mannion Island Facilities
There’s a natural spring on the island, as well as a fairly natural bay for easy docking of boats. There is a cove, as well as some area that could be considered beach. There are also spec tactual views from all over the island, particularly at the elevated part.
Currently there is a small, but lovable almost hobbit house that has been built into the ground. This has a toilet, kitchen and bedroom.
Unfortunately there is currently no permit to build on the island, sp purchasing will come before having the chance tactually build here. We cannot offer legal advise on this.
There is no natural electricity on Mannion Island, but there is currently a generator, as well as opportunities to utilise solar, due to the amount of sunlight it receives.
