What you can buy an island for $500? Well you could until recently, although this one is a bit of an easter egg for our parent company and inspiration, namely Lets Buy An Island.
Who are Lets Buy An Island?
Originally formed in 2018 from an idea dreamt up 10 years before the general plan was to crowd fund a bunch of people to run and own an island a bit like a country. Sound whacky? Well to an extent it was and still is, so much so that the titular nation was even featured on CNN.

The basic premise was that if 100-150 people clubbed in to buy an island then basically you’d be able to buy an island. Many people had tried this before, but none had the YPT effect, our partners and a well known whacky travel agency. You can check out their site here
So, you own an island?
Long answer short, yes we do namely Coffee Caye located in Belize, which as you will learn from this site is one of the best places, if not the best place in the world when it come to island real-estate.
Currently around 150 of us are owners and it is run as democratic project. Can you still buy shares in it? Sadly not, as the media coverage we got meant that things went so crazy that we were able to fill all slots. And what will we do next? Well of course we will build on it and make the paradise that our hard work and indeed capital has produced.

And if you’d like to rent the island then that is also something we are happy to offer via our travel partners at Young Pioneer Tours, although it is literally an empty island, at least as things currently stand.
Nothing stays the same forever though and for us at least this will be the year we start to develop it.
Can I rent Coffee Caye?
Coffee Caye, AKA our island is very much up for rent, be it for camping trips, or even film crews (we have had all sorts of enquiries).
This is no fixed price, but the reality is that the cost is very much negotiable and it depends on what your plans are to visit here.
What facilities are on Coffee Caye?
As things stand, not all that much. We have an outhouse and for all intents a greta area for camping, as well as equipment. We also have stunning beaches and the ways and means to get you to and from the island, or a boat as we like to call it.
